How to enable the Dell SNMP parameters?

We want to monitor dell HW through the 'Microsoft Platform SNMP' connector. When enabling the Dell parameters we are not receiving any data (no such name error is being returned). Is there a setting that needs to be enabled to make the dell parameters available?

Hi Michiel,

I had a look at the Microsoft SNMP connector and noticed that it has only one SNMP connection available. The OIDs implemented in the Dell page are coming from Dell iDRAC (1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10892). These OIDs are available through:

  • The iDRAC SNMP Agent (which is running in a different network interface)
  • OpenManage Server Administrator (OMSA). This application uses the SNMP agent running in the OS

For the first option, the host/IP address configured in the element settings should be the one assigned to the iDRAC SNMP agent. The iDRAC SNMP agent can be configured through the iDRAC web interface

For the second option. You could use the host/IP address assigned to OS

Hi Miguel
Can I use linux platform protocol or I need to have Dell iDRAC Collector or other protocol?
