How can I fully delete and Alarm Filter from Dataminer? I can remove them from an individual user's Alert list, but it will still populate the list of available filters. This is creating an ever growing list of deprecated filters that is clogging up the lists and creating confusion.
Next to the above, the filters are located here:
- C:\Skyline DataMiner\Users\SharedUserSettings\Filters
for the public/protected filters - C:\Skyline DataMiner\Users\<username>\Filters
for the private filters
This way you can always verify if they were removed.
Or if it's a single agent, you could also stop the agent, remove the needed filters and start the agent again. But this isn't really advised, it's best to stick to the official ways as seen above.
Maybe it’s best to create a collaboration task for this so it can be further investigated at your end. The deletion through the UI should just work, but maybe there is something specific at your end (For example some sync issues in the cluster, just thinking out loud…)
Hi Robin, thank you for supplying the path to verify if filters were removed. When preforming the actions above to remove filters, we see them either be removed on our instance of Cube or they will remain present on the list of filters in Cube after the delete. We still see the file in that location after both instances of this issue. After closing out of Cube and re-opening, the “deleted” filters are still there. How can we fully remove filters when the actions above don’t work?
