Can the new Factory Rest Tool in DM 10 be used on DM 9.6 systems

As indicated in this article, the Factory Reset Tool does not support older DataMiner versions. It was introduced from DataMiner 10.0.12 onwards. Therefore, it does not support DataMiner systems running DM 9.6 nor DM 10.0.0 (main release).
