Enhanced Views and permissions

I have enhanced the view “Administrator” with the element “Password_Parameter”. The “Password_Parameter” element is correctly removed from the surveyor. However, it is still visible in the permissions of my group. Is this expected behavior?

Hi,

An enhanced view uses a real element in the background and that element is still appearing there in the user settings.

On one side it would seem better to also hide it there to avoid confusion where that element is coming from, but on the other side suppose that somebody would like to configure the setting: “I want to give write rights to the enhanced view, but not to some of the the included elements (or vice versa)”. With the current UI this is still possible but if the enhancing element would be hidden then this functionality would be lost because clicking on the checkboxes next to the view name acts as a global setting to enable/disable it for all underlying elements. If the UI behavior is changed for enhanced views that it isn’t a global setting anymore for underlying elements then it will also be confusing for the users that clicking on a normal view applies it to all underlying items while it isn’t the case for enhancing views and that will probably take a lot of investigation then to come to the conclusion that we’re dealing with an enhanced view.
