Do you know any quick way to tweak a Group in System center?
Let's say I have a full Group defined, and a I need a similar one - just restricting 1 view from the previous existing group - it seems very laborious since SystemDisplay was removed - back in the days, it was possible to duplicate a group and fork it to have slightly different privileges.
At present, this section of CUBE is very limited - the only possible action on right-click is to delete a group?
I've found this old suggestion, wondering if there is any different way to do this in 10.2, rather than manually creating the second group from scratch:
Any steer will be helpful!
As this question has now been inactive for a long time, I will now close it. If you still want more information, could you post a new question?
Hi Alberto, I went through Collaboration to search for the Duplicate group option.
Most of the tasks I found were for SD.
You can upvote in that link: https://community.dataminer.services/new-feature-suggestions/system-centre-users-groups-right-click-duplicate-group or if it's really something you need, talk to your TAM to see if another task is needed with a higher priority.
Perhaps we can also extend the current C# classes for use in Automation scripts.
I agree it also could be handy to have that functionality also in Cube.

Thanks for checking Kevin – indeed it was a feature available in SD, can’t really see why it was removed in CUBE, but perhaps it was simply not implemented in the first release as big corporates might tend to rely more often on domain groups rather than on local groups.
Where domain users are imported (rather than the full group) this still adds a lot of value though.
By the way, if there are any records still available from the legacy DCP, I’m pretty sure I had logged this with TechSupport and the TAM I had back in 2017-18: as an admin, I’ve found myself stuck there several times – having a way to quickly copy an existing set of privileges into a new group can facilitate group management at the application layer – so I’ve upvoted the feature as suggested.

Hi Alberto,
I see that this question has been inactive for a long time. Do you still need more information about this? If not, could you select the best answer to indicate that no further action is needed here?
