Hello,

We want to use the new feature of DOM Ingest, and need to know, starting of which version (main release preferable) this function is available and also if Elastic search is mandatory for this function.

Many thanks

Romain

Hi Romain,

From DataMiner 10.1.2/10.2.0 onwards, DataMiner Object Models can be used for the modeling of any type of administrative or business-related objects within your system. Of course, along the way, we've added many extra features to this module. I would advice to check out the docs to evaluate what exact version you'll need. DataMiner Object Models (DOM) | DataMiner Docs

Do note that in versions prior to DataMiner 10.3.6/10.4.0, displaying DOM in Dashboards and Low Code Apps is in soft launch, so you will need to activate the DOMManager soft-launch option to use it.

An extra note, DOM is considered an optional function, which is contained in a Tier-2 license. More information here: Perpetual-Use Licensing | DataMiner Docs.

As a prerequisite, you do need an indexing database. The most convenient option is to use Storage as a Service (STaaS) | DataMiner Docs, but if you prefer to manage the database on-prem that is also possible. In that case, OpenSearch database | DataMiner Docs is recommended.

Kind Regards,
Jarno
