Every time we generate a Blank Visual from DataMiner either from a View or from an Element we get a very "unformatted" Blank Visio, basically it has nothing, example below:
Why can't we have by generating blank a "Formatted" blank with the "Write" page already created and all the good Shape Data like the one below:
By having this upon generating we could be using all of the stencils and have all the correct formatting. Can this be set by default in upcoming DM Releases?
How can I change this in DM so each time someone generates a new Blank, they get the good stuff ready to go?

You can change the default templates, by changing or replacing the vision templates in the C:\Skyline DataMiner\Views\Default folder on the DataMiner server.

You can change the default template by editing the following file:
“C: Skyline DataMiner Views Templates SkylineNewDrawing.vsdx”
I’ll add a note to the help to make it more clear that the format of the blank drawing actually depends on the SkylineNewDrawing template.
I maybe also want to note that we have been wanting to update the default blank Visio for a while now. However, value wise it has always been far down on our list of things to do.
If you create a new default Visio though and you feel like it’s one that is globally acceptable as a better default than the current one, feel free to forward it to us and we can evaluate and update it for everyone.
