Dataminer first steps on new installation – License issues

Hello dear Dojo,
i have installed the Dataminer Software in the version 10.2 via the Setup_20220622092235919.exe installer.
I have a WS2022 installation, with .net 3.5 support installed as a feature.
I have created the REQ file and got the license files from you guys.
In the installer, i have added both dataminer.lic and clientapps.lic and restarted the dataminer app.

After this, i can verify that the license files are located in C:\Skyline DataMiner succesfully.

After starting the skyline taskbar utility, when i click on access the cube, a xaml browser app is downloaded.
Upon starting this, i get an error (something about System.Deployment.Application.DeploymentDownloadException (Unknown subtype) download error) - i assume it is browser related and / or security settings related. This is not a priority for me since i would like to use the "fat" client.

Alternatively, i browsed http://localhost/root/login and tried to log-in with my local system user.
I get the error: "Failed to setup a connection with the DataMiner Agent: This DMA is not licensed"

After searching the dojo, i installed the "fat" Cube Desktop app located in Tool/ of the webapp folder.
The Cube app throws the same error after trying to log-in.
"This dataminer agent is not licensed"

Since i am not able to login to the cube, i cannot do the steps to connect to dataminer.services via DataMiner-Cloud-Pack-3.1.5.0-embedded-.NET6_, right?

I also installed the rewrite mod for IIS via https://www.iis.net/downloads/microsoft/url-rewrite although i have WS2022.
I have also set JAVA_HOME to cassandra/java

What could i do here?

Hi Tibor,

To make sure if the license is really the problem you could check the SLDataMiner.txt log file (located in the c:\skyine dataminer\logging\ folder).

If this log file reports a problem with the license file, I suggest reaching out to licensing@skyline.be for a new license (make sure to attach the request.lic file from the c:\skyline dataminer\ folder).

You could also try to restart the dataminer software, to make sure the most recent license file is loaded. This can be done through the right-click menu of the taskbar utility.

Issue was solved with the licensing guys with a new lic file.
