DataMiner can act as a central log location

I received following question from our customer QVC: "I was wondering if DataMiner can act as a central log location, somewhere we can point windows logging or application logging to, so we can search multiple logs at once? Some of the team currently use a free version of Elastic to do this."

Not sure if this is in our sweet spot, or if we have use cases on this?...

It has been on our road-map for a while and a basic implementation is available but never really matured as there are probably tools out there that might a better fit if you're looking for a solution that stores logs and then allows you to do search and aggregation queries on it.

Having said that:

(a) There is a use-case for DataMiner if this is about crushing an incoming stream of data and providing metrics for that data (e.g. number of messages/minute, number of messages with 'x'. ...)  Basically in real-time aggregating data into parameters of an element.  Note: the rules need to be known at the time of processing the data, as we will typically not store this DataMiner.

(b) we do have logger tables which covers this use-case somehow, but please reach out to someone of the team check load/volume.
