It is possible to show in a Dashboard the name of the logged in user and the client pc name?

This is not possible at the moment. The name of the logged-in user could get added, but the client pc name is technically not possible to add as the Dashboards app is not able to get this information.

Why would you want to display the name of the logged-in user on a dashboard, while it is also shown in the header bar? Or is this for in a PDF export, or to embed the dashboard in for example Cube?

In my case I want to see the user when I open a shared dashboard. Currently this is not visible.

Baptiste Pattyn [SLC] [DevOps Advocate] commented 1st February 2022

Would you expect to see the name of the user that has opened the share or the name of the person that has created the share?

Jens Vandewalle [SLC] [DevOps Enabler] commented 1st February 2022

In my case I would like to see the name of the person who’s opened the dashboard

Baptiste Pattyn [SLC] [DevOps Advocate] commented 1st February 2022

This is currently not supported yet but it could prove useful. Do you deem the sharing to be unusable without that feature or is it more a nice to have?

Jens Vandewalle [SLC] [DevOps Enabler] commented 1st February 2022

In my case it was a nice to have for demo purposes
