We have a dashboard that allows customers to select elements from their assigned view. I have checked the group permission for the user/group and that is set correctly. Customer isn't able to see the element.
I, as an admin, am NOT able to see the element either, from the element drop-down list. The element is in Dataminer Cube, surveyor.
In summary, the element is visible, but not in dashboard gateway, even to the admin users.
Is there anything else I can check?
Is the element visible from the Dashboards website when accessed directly from the DataMiner Agent (not via the Dashboard Gateway)?
If so, my first guess would be that the Dashboard Gateway was configured to use an account which does not have access to the element (web.config file)
Out of 112, only 9 are invisible in dashboard gateway.
Just found out that all those missing from dashboard gateway are from same DMA. I have tried sync from the DMA (different from the one hosting the missing ones) that communicates with the dashboard gateway. Is the only option restarting the DMA that hosts those 9 missing elements?
Indeed sounds like restarting the DMA that hosts the 9 elements is the best approach here.
Update – we were testing a new version of protocol and those missing elements happened to be under new protocol, not under production version.
