What exactly does selecting/deselecting the "Previous DataMiner versions" option for a custom backup do?

Hi Jeff,

This option dictates whether the following objects are included or not

  • UpgradeActions (Entire folder)
  • DowngradeActions (Entire folder)
  • VersionHistory.txt

The VersionHistory is useful as this gets used in cube to display the past dataminer versions in the About window. Up/downgrade actions is a bit unclear why these are included.

Sidenote: When you wonder what files a certain backupOption will include, you can simply click on the option in the backup menu. The right hand screen will then show which files will be included and you can further finetune this.
