Cube propose Operating System, Dark and Light background color themes.
Is it possible to define a custom Cube theme ?

Hi Bernard,

Currently it is not possible to define your own background colors. What is the use case to define your own background colors?

Hi Michaël,
a customer with 6 different DMS. They don't want to use only DMS name to identify Cube session but via a color theme or a different Cube header color/icon color

Alberto De Luca [DevOps Enabler] commented 26th August 2026

Hi Bernard
I've had similar requirements in the different DMS environments supported – since the "black" theme usually had limited compatibility with white VISIOs, and given that it is not possible to define custom themes, we used different suveyor tree options (on the left for staging, on the right for PROD).

In some cases, I've also used some slightly different "VISIO" background option, clearly stating the name of the environment, though this takes some effort to manage multiple VISIO templates.

Sharing if it can help for your use-cases – but indeed, defining a "custom theme upload" could be beneficial for these use-cases.

As a partial workaround, where viable, enabling the CUBE option to show the DMS name might also provide the context of the specific environment where clients are connected
