Hello Dojo,
You can help us it is neccesary to use the ports 137, 139 and 445 on Dataminer, we review some of our Dataminers and see that the server are Listening with this ports.
Also for the correct function of Dataminer it is neccesary to use Smbv1 and Sbmv2?
Regards
Hi Javier,
DataMiner does not rely on these 3 ports by default, these are used by Windows for File/Printer sharing. They can safely be disabled in the firewall. The only scenario in which DataMiner may need to open these ports is when a MSSQL offload database is configured. You can easily check if this is enabled via Cube -> System Center -> Database -> Offload.
I also recommend reading this blog post about the DataMiner Firewall configuration.
Hi Javier,
None of the above ports are listed in the known ports used by DataMiner as per the help topic here. However, it could be either any DataMiner element(s) listening in these ports, a special configuration, or any other process running in the server. Please check with your assigned TAM.
For recent information about hardening DataMiner security, including the required ports, see https://docs.dataminer.services/user-guide/Advanced_Functionality/Security/DataMiner_hardening_guide.html.
