Hello, Im configuring Alarm Template for Evertz ev67-X45, does anyone have any recommendation what parameter(s) I can set as a range, since temperature fluctuates. I took an average from sever edge devices and found Normal CPU and FPGA Temp range is from 30.1 – 40.9 °C so not sure how to set a range in the normal, min high and cri hi?

Thank you

Hi Juan,

You can assign multiple values to the same severity:

In that way you can set a normal severity to a range:

Hope it helps.

Thanks so I understand, if I add the values in your example, 30;40 for Normal that would be any value between 30-40. I was told from another developer that if I add 30 in Normal and 75 in critical high that becomes the range between Normal and Critical High and would reflect Green status until it reaches 75°C

Hi Juan,

The statement from the developer is correct.

The values you enter in the alarm template (for analog parameters) are the threshold values for the given severity. In other words, if the parameter value crosses the threshold, it will result in an alarm (update) of the severity of the threshold.

You have the expected (or normal) severity in the center of your parameter.
Any value you enter to the right-hand side of the normal severity will be considered a greater than … value.
Any value you enter on the left-hand side of the normal severity will be considered a smaller than … value.

An example is described in this Q&A:
