Use case is an operator wants to view a multicast that the DMA has access to on a private network, but the cube client does not directly have access. Is it possible to set this up?
Assumed here that we would use an embedded VLC running inside a visual overview for a service.
Thanks in advance for any answers!
This is possible by configuring DataMiner as a proxy to forward the stream to video thumbnails in a visual overview. You can find more info on this in the help.
I kind of recall a user doing something like that, but unfortunately don't recall the details. And I believe it was more with some sort of thumbnails rather than a streaming video. But whatever you would be doing, and there are solutions for this undoubtedly, it will have very little to do with DataMiner and it will effectively be about bring a stream from the private network to the public network. And that kind of bridge could probably be accomplished in different ways. I guess for the user, the main objective would probably be to have that available in Cube in the public network, and to have some sort of guarantee that this is the only way to get it? Or not?
