Can I create an automation script that schedules a particular script to be executed in the scheduler?
Also related can we visualise the actions scheduled in the scheduler app in a Visio, for example in a table view or something like that (preferably filtered in some way)

For your first question, please could you let us know the use case where you plan to use this script? The scheduler module offers a nice UI where you can easily schedule your automation scripts.
For your second question, currently it is not possible to display in an overview the Scheduler module. However, you can access to this module through Cube.

I am essentially trying to mimic some of the functionality of the SRM module. (we have it but it is not deployed yet) we have a tv production that requires a switch to be made at a fixed time at the start of it (based on time) and a switch the minutes before it is ended (manual switch). I can create the automation scripts and a Visio for the operators to perform the triggering manually and with visual representation of the signal chain.
it would have been sweet if I could create an action that schedules these scripts and also allows the operators to verify the schedule status. These operators are not (yet) used to working in dataminer that is why I was thinking a single page viso could be a nice way to present this to them.
