Active Domain Migration – Can users be migrated in DataMiner?

We have a fully operational DMS under domain control. Changes to IT security mean all users will be migrated to a new Active Directory. What does this mean for DataMiner?

Can users be migrated to keep their current accounts/permissions and groups in DataMiner? If so, how?

NOTE: If the domain names do change during the migration from one to the other. Are manual steps available?

Will the name of the domain change during the migration? It could work if the names of the groups/users don’t change. If the names do change you can try to stop the DMA, and edit the names of the groups/users directly in the Security.xml. (Make sure you have a backup though) You will have to copy the changed file manually to all agents in the cluster.

Do note this approach is not guaranteed to work as there are some other configuration files that store user info which cannot easily be manually edited. (For example some of the files in Skyline DataMiner\Files\SyncInfo).
