Hello Community,
Has anyone been able to pull DataMiner configuration backups using certificate(s) and API authentication from any Dataminer agent/server/setup?
I need clarifications on the following:
1 Certificates : which are the essential client certificate and key files that the DataMiner API uses for authentication?
2 API Endpoint : I intend using a third party API whose code is written in python (for SCP) to pull from Dataminer, how do I Identify the appropriate API endpoint for pulling these configuration backups?
Will accessing the Dataminer agent in view via RDP, setting up putty to establish SSH/SCP and authenticating with a .pem certificate then allowing the embedded python code in the 3rd part API to pull the desired backups from the Dataminer director and drop outside Dataminer suffice?
P.S: I have attached the python script that the 3rd party API uses.
Hi Samson,
I see that this question has been inactive for some time. Do you still need help with this? If not, have you been able to use Miguel’s suggestion?
As this question has been inactive for a long time, and there hasn't been any further reaction from you, I have added this pro forma answer so that we can mark it as resolved. If you do still want more information, could you post a new question?
Thanks Mar…
I am absolutely fine with your submission. The project is still on and the best means of achieving this being sought.
Hi Samon,
Instead of pulling the backups from DMAs, is it not an option to set a network path to store these backups?
