When NIC Team is configured only 1 MAC address is present and license is attached to current "Active" NIC MAC Address.
How will this effect DM when/if a failover of NIC occurs and MAC address potentially changes to the new "Active" Interface?
Hi Kaleb,
NIC teaming is supported in DataMiner and it won't have any impact on the licensing. So, no problem to use NIC teaming.
A NIC team is actually quite transparent for DataMiner or any software running on the OS. There is indeed a "new NIC" with one MAC address and it has behind the scenes e.g. two physical NICs. But if a "failover" happens within a NIC team, you won't really notice this on the software level and the MAC address will stay the same because there is just one NIC in the OS (and multiple physical NICs are doing the job behind the scenes).
