Hi Dojo, as per title – any way to change an alarm filter from Public to Protected?

Alternatively, could these saved filters be duplicated?

Thanks

Hi Alberto, ideally you should be able to change the type more easily using the dropdown. If it would be blocking for your workflow, perhaps a NF request can be done.
What you could do is retreive the saved filter, edit it and save it as another filter with another type.

Thanks for the workaround, Kevin – hadn’t thought about that

Hi Alberto,

It is currently not possible to change the type of a filter. The reason for this is that the filter could be in use (e.g. in the alarmconsole, in correlation, in SNMP,…) and by changing the type of filter this functionality could potentially stop working.

As for the duplication. This is not possible as well but this could be added with a new software feature.
