On cube we have a very usefull way to custom bindings on SNMP forwarding. It offers the choice between specific Dataminer bindings an customer bindings (propertys).
But It seems that some of them have a changed name. Does the value have changed also ?
Exemple :
On release 7.5 of Dataminer :
- 3.6.1.2.1.1.5 was Element Name
- 3.6.1.4.1.8813.1.1.2.2.1 was Parameter Description
- 3.6.1.4.1.8813.1.1.2.2.5 was time
On release 10.0 and 10.2 of Dataminer :
- 3.6.1.2.1.1.5 is System Name
- 3.6.1.4.1.8813.1.1.2.2.1 is Parameter Name
- 3.6.1.4.1.8813.1.1.2.2.5 is Timestamp
For Parameter Description versus Parameter Description and time versus Timestamp I am convinced that is the same. Am I ?
But System Name make me think about DMA Id or Dma Name not Element Name. On 10.0, even if we have no name, it sends the same than in release 7.5 (element Name).
But what is done in release 10.2 ?
Hi. We can see that my questions are not related to custom bindings. In 3.6.1.4.1.8813.1.1.2.2.* we are asking about skyline blocked bindings.
We have made a test between our deferent release and the bindings sent the same information. So it's only a naming changed by Skyline. The datas are the same for these bindings.
Kind Regards and thanks for help.
I'm indeed aware of some changes somewhere around version 9.5 but i don't think there are any changes between 10.0 and 10.2
This help page contains the information about the SNMP Manager bindings in 10.2:
Custom DataMiner notification | DataMiner Docs
We also added functionality to make a MIB containing the custom bindings:
Does this info help? Or are there still some things missing?
