We are looking for a way to measure how many alarms were concurrently displayed in the alarm console at a certain moment on time.
We can already see in real-time in the alarm console, however, it would be good the ability to trace back in the form of trending/count.
Additionally, we could think of either counting all the alarms, or excluding any base alarm of correlated alarms (only the overarching correlated alarm is displayed to the operator, which is the the only relevant for this count).
Is there a way of achieving this use case, either in dataminer or an alarm property that can be used to process the alarms data externally?
Hi Elvio,
Would the history slider (help) be an option for you?
This allows you to go back in time and look at the alarm console at a specific point in time.
You'll be able to get use the regular features to filter out specific alarms, count the alarms, etc.
Hi Elvio,
Did you use the history slider (timeline at the bottom of the alarm list) or requested a list of historical alarms through the show history option?
I’ve performed a couple of tests and can confirm that e.g. only the correlated alarms are counted, not the base alarms (DMA 10.2.6).
Can you also check if “correlation tracking” and “history tracking” is enabled or disabled for your alarm tab page? (hamburger menu at the left-hand side of the alarm console).
Hi Ive,
Is there a way of generically excluding from the count any base alarms that were collapsed inside a correlated alarm at that moment on time?
The reason is so that we would be able to count the clearly visible alarms, not the alarms that are “hidden” or “grouped” into a correlated alarm
