Logging find and sort order

We are having problem finding things in the log file. We used to have a find function and that is no longer there can it be restored so we do not have to export to do a search.

Also we are seeing events out of order. some entries at the bottom of the log  are out of order.

Should everything be in timestamp order ?

Hi Joseph,

Have you tried pressing CTR+F? I confirmed with a recent version and got this:

The log should be timestamp sorted but take into account it is a circular log, so it could be possible that you get some entries, not always at the end of the file, and therefore you will need to scroll to the point you are interested.

You can also right-click on the log’s content and open the file directly in a text editor:

FYI: the missing find functionality (CTRL-F) has been restored in DataMiner versions 10.0.0 [CU20], 10.1.0 [CU9] and 10.1.12 with RN31232.
