Hi everyone, I've found that this chrome extension can emulate Internet Explorer to the point that I'm actually able to run DataMiner Cube (9.6) from a Chrome browser: has anyone in SL already tested this also with DataMiner 10?
.NET, of course, needs to be installed on the client machine - the extension is called IE tab:
I was not aware of this extension. I just installed it and it works fine with DataMiner 10 as well!
It is basically loading IE inside Chrome, and then IE is navigating to the URL of your DMA and IE is loading the XBAP. So, this should work on any version of DataMiner, and it quite similar as Edge Internet Explorer (IE) Compatibility mode – Microsoft.
Since IE is going EOL and it is also no longer included in Windows 11, it is recommended to also have a look at the Cube desktop app which you can download on the DataMiner Services homepage, on the upper right hand side. This includes a nice launcher window to add all your DataMiner Systems to it and it's compatible with any DataMiner version. It also handles nicely different versions next to each other.

Thanks for the prompt feedback, Bert – glad to hear that for now it’s working also in 10.
Yes, I already use the client that can be downloaded from the portal – what I like about it is that we can connect to one or the other server and define groups so that we can switch from one DMA to another
