Are there any plans for using lucidchart as an alternative to Visio in future DataMiner versions?
No, currently there are no plans to support Lucidchart as an alternative to MS Visio. There seem to be options to import Visio VDX files into Lucidchart (available in the free version) and to export from Lucidchart to VDX (paid option), but I have no personal experience with that and whether or not this yields good results.
Thanks for this feedback, Ben: indeed I wasn’t even thinking to convert into VDX from Lucid Chart, I guess that opens up for internal testing if any procurement team pushes to move away from the Microsoft license for Visual representations.
Is there any specific set of metadata that would need to be verified once exporting from Lucid Chart into VDX? I’m thinking about the all the syntax for shape linking here.
