Could anyone describe the difference between the standard search and the advanced search in the search bar inside DataMiner Cube version 10 search bar?
It looks like the standard search only looks at the view name, element name and service Name. While the advanced looks at the properties and a lot more. Is it possible to give an exact list of what it searches in?
For part 2 of the answer: The advanced search will search for a whole plethora of things. You can find what you can search on, how you can filter on type, special search options, wildcards and more in the DataMiner help.
The search in the header looks for the query string in the name of these objects:
- Elements (excluding hidden elements)
- Services
- Service children with an alias
- Redundancy groups
- SLA's
- Views
- Apps
It will also return objects where the ID matches the query string.
Results are sorted by how close they match the query string (an exact match will be at the top). If several types of objects are found, the results will show the top results of each type.
