SRM compatibility

Solved220 views26th March 2025SRM upgrade

Our systems are running DM10.2CU12 & SRM 1.2.28

We would ideally like to perform a dual upgrade to 10.2CU12>10.3CU21>10.4CU13.

We have today upgraded our staging server to 10.3CU21, and it is performing okay.  Before we upgrade again to 10.4CU13 do we need to upgrade the SRM package, or will the existing version be compatible?

I assume we will need to migrate the profiles and resources data to an indexing database and update the configuration. See migrating profiles data and migrating resource data?

Hi Jeroen,

SRM 1.2.28 CU1 | DataMiner Docs is compatible with 10.2.7 or a higher DataMiner version. But it is advisable to upgrade to SRM 1.2.36 | DataMiner Docs so you get all the latest fixes and enhancements. This requires 10.3.2 or higher which you have already satisfied.

For the other point, indeed you have to migrate the profiles and resources to an indexing database; otherwise the upgrade will fail. This is a pre-requisite for upgrade to 10.4. See Verify Elastic Storage Type | DataMiner Docs.
