Dataminer Cube Connection Issue Following 10.3 Upgrade

Hi Community

I have a brand-new DMA running on Win11 laptop as a demo. It was initially installed as version 10.2 and worked. Following upgrade to 10.3, and beyond the Cube client updating itself on the first attempt to connect, I can no longer connect via DM Cube application either locally or remotely.

Message in Cube GUI is:

“Connection timeout. The DataMiner agent did not respond in time.”

Have you tried restarting the DMA yet? I’ve encountered a similar issue recently, and a DMA restart did the trick then.

Thanks Marieke; yes we’ve tried DMA restart which does not clear this issue. The issue seems to be related to the Cube application itself, such reasoning based on this extract from the Cube logging:

Hi Tony, the “unable to load assembly” warning is a false positive, it has been removed in a more recent version of the Cube launcher.

Hi Tony, could you try setting the connection to “Auto”. These can be accessed by clicking the cogwheel on the bottom-right on the Cube login screen and clicking Options.

Thanks Kevin, this advice much appreciated, but that setting is already “Auto”, and have tried again with same “Connection timeout” response. Any further suggestions would be welcome..

Could you have a look at the logging in Cube itself? On the login screen, it can be accessed through the cogwheel in the bottom-right, or directly in the folder %LocalAppData%/Skyline/DataMiner/DataMinerCube/CubeLogging (not Logs).
