I just stumbled on a ‘display issue’ on trend display.
The ‘top bar’ does not update when one selects a different parameter
I’ll try to explain how to reproduce:
- Select any (table) trend parameter – that works fine (top row shows exactly what parameter is displayed in the trend graph.
- Select a different parameter instance via the (index) selection on the lower part of the screen and click ‘show trend’.
The trend displays data for the selected parameter index but does not update the ‘header row’ -> confusing when one does not pay attention wrong conclusions might be drawn…
I understand this is behaviour as currently coded but believe that at least the users attention should be drawn to the fact that the title is no longer representative for the shown graph.
Hi Hans,
I believe you mean the trend shown in an elementcard when you drill down to a specific parameter. This is indeed intentional as the tabs (details, histogram and templates) below the 'top bar' still refer to this parameter and not to the one you selected in your trend. Is the legend in the trend not enough to indicate the current parameter shown?
I understand the reasoning wrt the histogram and templates section, still the legend is very small and I personally believe it to be not intuitive to look for a small legend in the lower right corner while there is a big top bar showing something that might well be different.
If withing skyline everyone agrees that the current behaviour is intuitive enough I rest my case.
Just a quick thought: Maybe a blue background like we do for tables and the alarm console would help?
