Hi,
I wonder if there has been any reports recently that Windows Defender causes a significant increase in CPU load on DMA with recent updates of Defender/definitions (Windows Defender Platform 4.18.25090.3009-0)
/Roger
From Task Manager on the DMA we can clearly see that it is the defender process that stands for the increase in CPU load, DataMiner processes is just 1 percent each or so, while Defender uses up to 60%.
Hi Roger,
I'm not aware of such reports. I just double checked some internal systems which are being update automatically and the CPU load is stable in the last month and more.
And it looks like we are already running on v4.18.25100.9008.
Not sure if you have trending on the individual processes, because it would be interesting to know if each process increased in CPU load or only one or more specific processes.

Hi Roger,
In that case it might be worth to check the following:
1. Are active scans running? E.g. a full scan has been initiated.
2. Maybe do a check for updates since I already see a more recent version.
3. You could also try to exclude the directories of DataMiner and the local database if any.
4. And a good old reboot might also help…
