Visual Overview supports links to transmit video thumbnails.
As of today, it relies on IE plugins to work.
If I'm running Cube on my localhost to access a remote DMA, I'm wondering who renders the VLC / WMP plugin?
My system (which displays the UI) or the DMA server?
For instance, if we configure a link with VLC, will anyone be able to also see the rendering on VLC or should clients also download VLC for the thumbnails to run properly?
The VLC ActiveX plugin for IE runs on the client, so VLC needs to be installed on every client machine that wants to display the video stream.
Hello,
I’m using Dataminer (v10.1.0.0-9966) and have installed VLC Media Player (v 3.0.12 – Win 32) and VLC multimedia plugin appeared as being non installed “error: VLC multimedia plugin is not installed” when trying to play video stream.
Does anybody has encountered that issue? Any advice is welcome.
BR,
JF
