Which .NET 8.0 do I need to install for DataMiner?

Hi,

DataMiner requires .NET 8.0, but I find many 'flavors' of .NET 8. Can somebody point me to the correct download?

I found the download page: Download .NET 8.0 (Linux, macOS, and Windows) (microsoft.com), but it contains different runtimes. Which one do I need?

Bert

Hi Bert,

As mentioned in Preparing to upgrade a DataMiner Agent | DataMiner Docs, I believe it needs to be the ASP.NET Core Runtime - Windows hosting bundle (Download ASP.NET Core 8.0 Runtime (v8.0.8) - Windows Hosting Bundle Installer (microsoft.com)).

Thanks! That is correct! I didn’t find that detail on the requirements page. I’ll ask the documentation team if they can add that.
