Note also that all elements in DataMiner have a Timer Base metric that you can use to control the data collection cycles. You can speed it up or slow it down to your liking. You can also control that metric from within automation workflows or other modules in DataMiner. So you could easily accelerate polling whenever an element is in alarm, or during specific times of the day (e.g. during prime time), or whenever a service is active, etc. Just wanted to mention it, because not everybody is aware of this feature, and it is the easiest way to control the data collection rate on an element.
