When trying to access the element’s web interface page of the Utah Scientific 100 Router RCPv3 connector. I get an error saying that Java runtime is not installed.

Is there any way around this?

Hi Frans,

according to devices documentation:

The control is done with the use of a Java Applet and hence it is necessary to have the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installed on the computer for this to work.

and since, as far as I’m aware, elements web interface is basically just a built-in web browser, I don’t think there is a way to avoid needing JRE. I guess you should be able to fix this issue by installing JRE on the machine on which you are trying to access web interface.

Hope this helps,

Cheers

Thanks Edib, that make sense. I’ll give that a try.
