Hello Dojo,
I’m looking for a solution which can help me to have a better overview of my multicast addresses in my network.
Ideally I would have a visual overview on which I can select a certain Multicast, and that I can then see all the different devices that Multicast is known on/goes through.
Kind regards,
Dear Yasser,
Flow technologies like sFlow or netFlow are used to detect in real time where these multicast streams effectively occur for every single network ingress interface. By also reading routing and snooping tables via the switch vendor’s native APIs to check the traffic on the egress interface, the path of every flow can be visualized, so that a full picture from source to each destination is presented in real time to operators. The destination edge device itself must be checked as well for its multicast receiving IP addresses.
More detailed information about these already in our community at Multicast flow monitoring
Also, please read article from Thomas Gunkel (in this context) if you look at Media Flow monitoring
I will be glad to help you further.
Hi Yasser,
Thanks for your response.
I will setup a call with you early next week to discuss about this in detail.
Dear pramod,
Thank you for your feedback, how can I get demo and more details about netflow?
