I’d like to be able to modify or get rid of altogether the text associated with a progress bar in a visual overview. Is this possible ?

I am using this feature:

Hi Wale,
This will probably not be possible via one of the ParametercontrolOptions.

A custom way to achieve a custom progress bar is with Path markup (see Making a shape display a custom drawing using Path markup | DataMiner Docs) and there is an example on dcpdma (View ‘Linking Shapes’, tabpage ‘Controls/Custom’ at the bottom).

Hi Pieter, I updated the question with the feature I am using.
Currently the parameter name is showing with the Progress bar.

A slider control could be an alternative, see https://help.dataminer.services/dataminer/#t=DataMinerUserGuide%2Fpart_2%2Fvisio%2FCreating_a_range_slider_control.htm&rhsearch=visio%20slider&rhhlterm=visio%20slider&rhsyns=%20
