Visual Overview – Is there a way to have the most severe alarm of different elements

Hi Dojo,

I'm looking for a ElementsSummary method like we have ParametersSummary.

In my East-West view of my ongoing reservation I have a Deploy shape.

This shape represents 3 different elements which are visible on the Nort-Sourth page.

Is there a way that I can have the most severe state of those 3 elements?

PS: I know that a workaround is to add those 3 elements in a service and link the Deploy shape to that service. But in my case that's too much overhead to create additional 2 services for each booking.

Hi Jens,

Is creating an alarm filter also too much overhead? If not, you can link to an alarm filter. (see DataMiner Help)

Hi Pieter, I don’t think that this approach will work. That chassis element isn’t part of the reservation service.

The element shapes on the North-South page have below values for option Element:
– Encoder: Enc Src Application (Alias)
– Compute Blade: Enc Src Compute Blade (Alias)
– Chassis: [param:Enc Src Compute Blade,66177]

I guess that the chassis linking is something that can’t be done with alarm filters?

You would need a unique filter per booking, I guess. I understand that this is also too much overhead.
I don’t see any other options though at the moment, so a new feature request is appropriate, I believe.
