Visual Overview – How to show a different page for a visitor

Solved1.10K views4th May 2021Group Level Visual Overview

I have a landing page on my root view with an overview of everything that is available on my system.

This page must be visible for all my ‘normal’ users which have at least group level 5.

Now I want that a Visitor (user with group level 10) has a dedicated landing page. Therefore I’ve added the shape data as mentioned in the help:

Which results in an empty page:

What am I doing wrong?

Edit: After an investigation it turned out this was a configuration issue. The user does not have explicit rights for the root view while this is a requirement for working with the level.

The screenshot displays some of the shape data. Is anything else configured on that shape? If not, it’s possible the Visual Overview is just rendering it as an image instead of creating a more intelligent visual object for this. Can you try linking it to a view?

I forgot to mention that this is configured on page level. Nothing else is configured on that page. It should display the text ‘Under Construction’ which has no shape data added.
