Visio file recovery

Is it possible to recover a visio file that has been deleted from the protocol & template viewer? Do visio files get saved to a particular directory on the desktop automatically when they’re uploaded?

Hi Bethany,

There are 2 places where you might still find this deleted Visio file:

  • On the client machine where you did the last online edit of that Visio file, you should find a copy in the following folder (fill in your username in the placeholder): C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Skyline\DataMiner\DataMinerCube\Online Editing\
  • On the DMA, you should also find a copy in the recycle bin: C:\Skyline DataMiner\Recycle Bin, if the file is effectively deleted. If the file is only unassigned from a protocol, it might also still be in the protocol directory: C:\Skyline DataMiner\Protocols\<protocolname>.

I hope this helped and you are able to get your Visio file back.

Bert
