Visio display alphabetical shape sorting for elements that are contained within in a service

We are running V9.6CU13
Visio child-shape ordering question

As a summary, at the moment it appears that the order that Visio shapes get displayed in Dataminer’s ‘Visual’ display does not always follow the ‘ASC’ or ‘DESC’ shape data in the ‘ChildrenSort’ entry of a Visio drawing as summarised below;

  1. The ordering of shapes from a VIEW displayed in a self-generating display (derived from a Visio drawing) on Dataminer does follow the ASC / DESC entry in the shape Data’s ‘ChildrenSort’. – so all good there!
  2. The ordering of shapes from a SERVICE displayed in a self-generating display on Dataminer does not change according to the ASC / DESC entry in the shape Data’s ‘ChildrenSort’.

In summary,
For elements that are contained within a service, what is the appropriate shape property to change the alphabetical order of child-shapes in Dataminer that are contained within a service? (noting that the ‘ChildrenSort’ shape data entry makes no difference in a Service)

Many thanks
Paul Camus (DAZN)

I tried this out myself and it seems we have ourselves a software issue here. Thanks for reporting it! I’ll log a task for it and keep this question up to date to notify you once a fix has been created.
