Are the vendorOID and deviceOID in the protocols defined in the MIB or can they be user-defined?

Hi Bethany,

These are defined by Skyline.
When creating a new protocol driver, please reach out to your Skyline contact.

If you provide Skyline with the vendor name and device or system name for which you’d like to get the correct IDs, we’ll provide you with the correct values to be used in your protocol.

For sake of clarity – we are talking about the OIDs that are defined for any protocol driver, and which are used to create the north bound SNMP Agent that represents the underlying managed resource (irrespective of what protocol was used to pull data from that resource)? And hence this is only relevant for those that use the DataMiner north bound SNMP API.
