Hi community,
in a Dashboard / LCA I would like to place a shape (cycle)
- that displays the severity color of an alarm
- shows a tooltip on mouseover
- executes a component action when clicked
Using a drawn cycle allows the conditional coloring and the click action.
Using a text component and draw the cycle with HTML allows conditional coloring and the tooltip.
Drawing a transparent cycle on top of the Text Component disables the tooltip functionality.
Is their any way to use a drawn cycle with a tooltip
or any way to execute a component action when clicking on a text component?
Best regards,
Felix
Hi Felix
It is currently not possible to execute an action when clicking on a text shape. The solution is to cover it with a transparent shape. This also means that the tooltip of the text will no longer be shown on hover.
Since this use case make a lot of sense, I have created a task on our backlog to allow actions to be added to text shapes as well.

Hi Felix,
We currently have no date/release planned where this will be implemented. The task is near the top of our backlog.

Hi Wout,
do you already know when you'll implement this functionality?

Hi Felix, we are aiming to get this feature available in version 10.5.5 of the Web Apps. This would release April 18th.

Great, thanks.
Hi Felix,
Happy to share we've just merged the feature which allows you to have actions on text shapes. The change will be included in the 10.5.5 web release.

Hi Robin,
this is great, thanks!
Hi Wout,
can you tell me when or in which version you plan to implement this?
