Hello,

When https is use to access to a dma instead of http. Is it still mandatory to open port 80 to use the webbrowser app with Internet explorer.

When port 80 is not opened the application download is not possible.

Is it possible to use this IE app without port 80?

Hi Yvan,

When HTTPS is enabled, TCP port 443 is required to open. It's recommended to block TCP port 80 (HTTP) when HTTPS is enabled. For more information see, setting up HTTPS on a DMA.

Yvan,

For security reason we always recommend to use HTTPS when accessing DataMiner via a web browser, and if the correct settings have been applied (Setting up HTTPS on a DMA | DataMiner Docs) you should have no problem downloading the application using IE.

Having said this, please note that IE will soon go EOL. You can read all about Skyline recommendations on this post (Internet Explorer Support - DataMiner Dojo)

Important to note : Automatic updates are not available with a MSI standalone installation.

This is the reason why, in my case, it was not possible to have an update
