Unable to Edit User

In my notice alarms, I'm getting these errors for two users

Unable to edit user USERNAME. This user is member of an unknown group. (hr = 0x80040277)

Obviously I've redacted the username.

I can't find these users anywhere in the user list, or security.xml.

I did find the users in AD, both accounts disabled, and all group membership removed.

Both users were previously in a group that had access to Dataminer, they are now no longer in the group, and their accounts are disabled as they have left the company.

How do I stop these errors appearing?

Hi Chris,

I would recommend ensuring that the affected users are no longer listed in the security.xml file of any DMA within the cluster, nor in the Windows local users.

If a user is still present in any security.xml, please connect to that DMA and attempt to remove the user again.

If the users are not present in either the security.xml files or the Windows local users, the next step is to verify whether they appear in the following sync info file:
C:\Skyline DataMiner\Files\SyncInfo{DO_NOT_REMOVE_68EE4388-7EF6-4cb4-B38F-5E0045175340}.xml

If they are listed in this file with tag deleted="false", I recommend reaching out to DataMiner support. Removing users from this file may require stopping DataMiner and manually editing the sync info file, which must be done with extreme caution and should be validated by DataMiner Support.

Kind regards,

Thanks Catarina,

Found the uers present on 15/20 of our DMAs, Not present on the 5 DMAs that were added later, hence why I couldn't see them.

Deleted the users via the GUI from a DMA that had them listed, and now they have gone from everywhere.
