Quick one, for DOJO gurus, pls:
is there any doc still available for System Requirements in DM 10.4/10.5 & Cassandra 4.x?
(e.g. similar to https://community.dataminer.services/wp-content/grand-media/application/SLC_SM_DataMinerSystemRequirements_REV045.pdf )?
Alternatively, when referring to the Compute Requirements Page, are there any recommendations when a virtualization layer is needed to run newer Linux-based Cassandra on premise?
Thinking to leverage VMs in order to install both Cassandra & OpenSearch in environments where STaaS would not be an option.
Thanks
Hi Alberto,
I believe the documentation in DataMiner Compute Requirements | DataMiner Docs still holds even if you use VMs for your databases.
Just ensure you follow the recommendations mentioned here for your VMs too.
The most important point here is the disk throughput which is mentioned in the link; as long as you meet the numbers mentioned in the documentation, there shouldn't be any issues.
This page also covers system requirements for DataMiner to work seamlessly, irrespective of using 10.4 or 10.5.
