According to the Amazon documentation, using the AWS Keyspace requires the usage of an SSL/TLS connection to the database. This is currently not possible to configure in Dataminer, not even using workarounds. So using the AWS as local database is not possible at the time of writing.

However most cassandra drivers, including the one used by DataMiner allow for a connection using SSL/TLS. So it might be possible in the future after some features are implemented.
