Hi,
I'm currently testing and experimenting a few things in Cube when DMA is on STaaS.
I'm now trying to configure an optional database so this can be used for the Asset Manager.
I'd like to have some information about how both features (IAM+ STaaS) should work together.
- Is Asset Management supported in STaaS?
- Is it supported to create optional databases with STaaS?
- If so, which database types are supported?
-> By default this is MySQL and MS SQL. I assume that Cassandra and Cassandra Cluster are included as well. Or could it be that the database type must also be STaaS?

Thanks in advance
Hi Matthias,
Asset management or additional databases haven't officially been tested together with STaaS. So at the moment I can't say for certain if it works or not. But STaaS follows for the most part the Cassandra Cluster setup so I would say if it is supported on Cassandra Cluster it will also be supported by STaaS.
Somebody here that has actually experimented with these two features together?
I’m currently also digging deeper and I can confirm your statement of CC.
When I am on a STaaS DMA and I send a GetInfo GeneralInfo request to that DMA, then the response contains some data, including properties CloudStorageActive, CassandraActive and CassandraClusterActive.
All three boolean properties are enabled .
