After removing a Spectrum Analyzer Monitor created service, the whole spectrum analyzer disappeared. After recovery all existing monitors are present but greyed out. New monitor's can be made and used normally. The issue is that the greyed out Monitors are blocking presets and scripts.
In the documentation it is indicated Apps/SystemCentre/Tools should give access (i have suffcient rights) but its not there.
How to remove the greyed out Spectrum analyzer Monitors.
Hello Wouter,
Through the surveyor, if you click the spectrum analyzer element they appear below the data tab (as also do the working monitors). They do not appear in the edit monitor hence the problem.
From what I understand:
- A spectrum monitor service shows up in the surveyor, but is greyed out
- When opening the spectrum element card directly, the monitor does not show up in the "edit monitors" window
- When opening the spectrum element card, the "Data" section does show a page with parameters for the monitor
Judging by these, it looks like the monitor definition itself has been deleted somehow and is no longer executing, but remnants like service and parameter definitions still remain.
It's probably best to contact support for a more in-depth look.
Note: The "Apps > System Center > Tools > Configure Spectrum Monitors" is a window/option which will only appear if there are at least two spectrum devices on the system sharing the same protocol AND permission flag is present. It's a window which allows to configure the same monitor on different elements at once.
Where exactly do these greyed out monitors appear? In the surveyor? In the Spectrum window > Monitors > Edit Monitor window?
