On the Correlation screen when we create a rule, what is the significance of the following options: –
- ‘Trigger on single events. Don’t maintain active tree status.’
- ‘Update base alarms’

Hi Ken,
If the option “Trigger on single events. Don’t maintain active tree status” is checked you will get a new correlation alarm on each update of the base alarm (if it still matches the correlation rule condition). If this option is not checked the same correlated alarm will be updated instead of creating a new one.
When the option “Update base alarms” is checked the base alarm of your correlated alarm will be updated. If it is not checked the correlated alarm will only exist of the base alarm which were present at the time the correlated alarm is generated.
